JANNA WELBORN was raised on the beaches of Jacksonville, Florida, and in Charlottesville, Virginia. These distinctive locations offered her a broadened view of Southern culture. She received her BA in English and Economics from the University of Virginia, the setting for her first published novel.

She currently resides in Telluride, Colorado, with her husband and children.
